Alana Boyczuk, Physiotherapist, graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2014. She then went on to complete her Master of Science in Physiotherapy at McMaster University in 2016.

During her playing career, she rehabilitated a number of her own injuries with the help of talented and compassionate physiotherapists. Alana’s dream of joining the physiotherapy profession began after experiencing first hand the difference a physiotherapist can make in helping patients achieve their goals.
Alana’s treatment approach is client-centered and focuses primarily on hands-on manual therapy techniques, patient education, and individualized exercise prescription. While obtaining her Physiotherapy degree, Alana gained experience working with individuals across the lifespan in a variety of settings. She has experience working with patients with a number of conditions including: overuse injuries, sport injuries, workplace injuries, motor vehicle accidents, post-surgical restrictions, neurological conditions, and developmental disorders. In addition, Alana has obtained her Level I Manual Therapy certification and has also received a certificate in Athletic taping. Alana is also rostered to perform acupuncture, having completed her Introduction to Acupuncture through the Advanced Physical Therapy Education Institute (APTEI). Alana is also a current member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
In her free time, Alana enjoys spending time with family and friends. She continues to lead an active lifestyle, which includes working out at the gym and participating in a variety of recreational sports such as soccer and volleyball. Alana is excited to join the team at the Health Centre of Milton and looks forward to working together with patients to help them achieve their physiotherapy goals!
