What to Expect
During the first physiotherapy or physio visit, patients will be expected to fill out intake forms, which can be downloaded under our intake form section. Please bring something comfortable to wear and that allows access to your injured region (shorts for the lower extremities and a T-shirt for the upper extremities).
During this first visit, the physical therapist will spend time obtaining a medical history regarding your physical health. Next, your range of motion, strength, posture, and functional movement will be assessed to determine what’s happening in your body and the best course of treatment. Working closely with other practitioners (occupational therapist in some cases) your physical therapist will develop a custom treatment plan to address your unique health needs and objectives.
If you have more questions about Physiotherapy or Physio care and your rehabilitation we invite you call the Health Centre of Milton to book a complimentary consultation with the Physical Therapist today.
